Grateful for his second win in the category of Best Actor at the 26th Malaysian Film Festival (FFM 26), Rusdi Ramli delighted with the award received by him through the movie 'Tanda Putera'. Rusdi beat Faizal Hussein, Nora, Azri Iskandar and Syed Hussein.
"I'm happy with the victory through the character of Tun Abdul Razak in the movie 'Tanda Putera'. This is the second time I got awards for the film directed by Datin Paduka Shuhaimi Baba. The first time was for the film 'Waris Jari Hantu' in the 20th Malaysian Film Festival in 2007, "said Rusdi after the FFM 26th awards dinner held at the Auditorium Tunku Puan Chik, Tuanku Muhammad Broadcasting Complex, Seremban, Negeri Sembilan on Saturday.
Recalling his experience in reviving characters of former Prime Minister of Malaysia, Rusdi stated that he was helped by the production, Pesona Pictures in the success of the character.
"When Tun Abdul Razak died, I was just six years old. To turn on the character, I was assisted by visual and other materials for my research in order of the realization of Tun Abdul Razak. Pesona Pictures also help me a lot in bringing this character,"he said.
When asked about his closest rival in the category, Rusdi stated that everyone have the opportunity to bring home the trophy.
"Everyone has a chance of 50 - 50. Furthermore, Faizal and Bront has brought home the same trophy before. Everyone's opportunity is equal and all the candidates did not know how the selection criteria from the jury," said Rusdi ending the conversation.
